West Bengal Public ServiceCommission (WBPSC) was incorporated by the Government of India. The amjor objective of the commission is to make recruitement on the governement posts in the state of West Bengal through the conduct of the written examinations.
Job profile:
Candidates can apply for the posts of Deputy Director of Archeology and Police Prosecutor depending on their educational qualification.
Eligibility:
Candidates should not be more than 45 years of age as on 1 January 2009 for the post of Deputy Director of Archeology and not more than 40 years of age as on 1 January 2009 for the post of Police Prosecutor.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidates are required to have Master’s degree in Archaeology for applying for the post of Deputy Director of Archeology while Graduate in Law is required for applying for the post of Police Prosecutor.
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available for the position of Deputy Director of Archeology and total 13 posts are available for the position of Police Prosecutor.
Pay Scale:
Deputy Director of Archeology: Rs. 9000-40500/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/-
Police Prosecutor: Rs. 9000-40500/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-
Selection process:
Candidates will have to undergo written examination. Candidate’s performance in the examination will play a major part in the final selection for the posts.
