UPSC | Engineering Services Examination 2009 (Written) Result

The UPSC has announced result of the written part of the Engineering Services Examination, 2009 held in June 2009.

Out of total of 131937 candidates admitted in the examination, 51840 candidates appeared in the written part of the examination. 1493 candidates have qualified for interview for the personality test. The community wise and discipline wise break up of qualified candidates is as under:-

Interview of candidates who have qualified for the Personality Test are scheduled to be held from February 22, 2010 onwards. The exact date of interview will, however, be intimated to the candidates through Interview Letter. Roll Number wise Interview Scheduled will also be available on Commission’s Website by second week of February, 2010.

The marks-sheets of candidates who have not qualified will be available on the Commission’s Website within one month from the date of publication of the result and would be available for a period of 60 days.

The candidature of these candidates is provisional subject to their being found eligible in all respects. Detailed Application Forms (DAF) would be issued to all the qualified candidates shortly. In case the candidates don’t receive the DAF by January 13, 2010, they should contact the Commission on Telephone No.23387402 or on Fax No.011-23387310.

UPSC | Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA) Exam 2009 Result

The following is the list, in order of merit, of 45 candidates including 24 General, 13 Other Backward Classes, 6 Scheduled Castes, and 2 Scheduled Tribes, who have been recommended by the Union Public Service Commission for appointment as Special Class Railway Apprentices’ in the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers on the result of the Special Class Railway Apprentices’ Examination held in July, 2009. The medical examination shall be conducted by the Ministry of Railways. A communication for medical examination will be issued by the Ministry of Railways to the candidates individually within 21 days from the date of declaration of final result. The number of vacancies as intimated by the Railway Board is 45

5. Further, the marks-sheet in respect of recommended/not recommended candidates will be available on the Commission’s Website within two weeks from the declaration of the result. The candidates can have access to the Website only after keying their Roll No. and date of birth.

6. In case any of the recommended/not recommended candidates is desirous of obtaining printed/hard copies of the marks-sheets of the above mentioned examination, he/she should forward his/her request to the Commission along with self-addressed stamped envelope within a period of thirty days from the date of publication of this Press Note.

Result for CDS Exam ( II ) -2009 announced

The Union Service Public Commission has announced the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II)-2009 held in September, 2009. 8591 candidates have qualified for being interviewed by the Service Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence, for admission to (i) Indian Militry Academy, Dehradun 129th Course commencing in July, 2010 (ii) Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala Course commencing in July, 2010 (iii) Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course for 188th F(P) Course commencing in July, 2010 (iv) Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai 92nd SSC Course (for Men) commencing in October, 2010 and (v) Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai, 6th SSC (Women Non-Technical) Course commencing in October, 2010.

The candidature of all the candidates is provisional. In accordance with the conditions of the admission to the examination, they are required to submit the original certificates in support of age, educational qualification, NCC (C) etc. claimed by them to Army Headquarters in case of IMA/SSC as their first choice and to Naval Headquarters “DMPR” (OI & R Section), in case of Naval first choice; and to PO3 (A) Air Headquarters in case of Air Force first choice. The original Certificates are to be submitted within two weeks of completion of the SSB Interview and not later than May 13, 2010 (Ist August, 2010 in case of SSC only).

UPSC has a “Facilitation Counter” in its campus where Candidates can obtain any information / clarification regarding their examinations / recruitments during working hours in person or over telephone Nos. 23385271 / 23381125 / 23098543. Result is available on PIB website i.e www.pib.nic.in  and also on the U.P.S.C. website i.e.www.upsc.gov.in.

In accordance with the conditions of the admission to the examination, they are required to submit the original certificates in support of age, educational qualifications, NCC (C) (Army Wing/Senior Division Air Wing/Naval Wing) etc. claimed by them to Army Headquarters, A.G.’s Branch/Rtg./CDSE Entry, West Block 3, Ground Floor, Wing No. I, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066 in case of IMA/SSC as their first choice and to Naval Headquarters DMPR, (OI & R Section), Room No. 204, C-Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011 in case of Naval first choice, to PO3 (A) Air Headquarters, ‘J’ Block, Room No. 17, Opp. Vayu Bhawan, Moti Lal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110011 in case of Air Force first choice. The original Certificates are to be submitted within two weeks of completion of the SSB Interview and not later than 13th May, 2010 (1st August, 2010 in case of SSC only). The candidate must not send the original certificates to Union Public Service Commission.

3. The Union Public Service Commission have a Facilitation Centre near Examination Hall Building in its Campus. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their examination/recruitment on working days between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM, in person or over telephone No. 011-23385271, 011-23381125 and 011-23098543 from this Facilitation Centre. Candidates can also obtain information regarding results by accessing to UPSC web-site http.//www.upsc.gov.in

4. The marks-sheet of candidates who have not qualified shall be available on the Commission’s website within 30 days after declaration/publication of the result and would be available on the website for a period of 60 days. The candidates will have access to the marks-sheet only after keying the Roll Numbers and date of birth. The printed/hard copies of the marks-sheet would however, be issued by the UPSC to candidates based on specific request received from individuals accompanied by a self addressed stamped envelope. The candidates desirous of obtaining the printed/hard copies of the marks-sheet should make request within thirty days of the display of marks on the Commission’s website, beyond which no such request would be entertained.

On the basis of results of the written part of the Indian Forest Service Examination,  2009 held by Union Public Service Commission in July 2009,  the candidates with the Roll Numbers given below have qualified for interview for the Personality Test.

2. The candidature of all these candidates is provisional subject to their being found eligible in all respects. In accordance with the condition (s) of their admission to the examination,  the candidates should keep original certificates in support of their age,  educational qualification,  claim to belong to Scheduled Caste/Schedule Tribe/OBC etc. in readiness for submission at the time of their interview.

3. All the qualified candidates will be sent Detailed Application Forms,  which should returned the Commission within the closing date indicated in the forwarding letter thereof. In case any of these candidates do not receive a Detailed Application Form within ten days of the declaration of this result,  he/she should immediately contact the Commission,  giving his/her particulars i.e. roll number,  full name,  date of birth,  address etc.
