Profile:
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission was established by the Government of India under the Articles of Constitution of India. The major idead behind the establishment of the commission was to make direct recruitment to state, subordinate and ministerial positions. The another major function of the commission is to make recruitment on the government posts through the conduct of the written competitive examinations. TNPSC is also responsible for making recruitment to the Rashtriya Indian Military College located at Dehradun.

1. Recruitment of Curator (Geology Section and District Museums):

Age Limit: Maximum age limit set is 30 years as on 1 July 2010.
Eductional Qualification: Master’s degree in Geology/Zoology/Botany is required for applying for the above specified post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4500
2. Recruitment of Assistant Curator (Archaeology Section, Anthropology Section and National Art Gallery):
No. of posts: Total 3 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set is 30 years as on 1 July 2010.
Eductional Qualification: BA in History and B.Sc. in Zoology is required for applying for the above specified post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400
3. Recruitment of Gallery Guide (General Section, Natural Science Section and Children Museum):
No. of posts: Total 4 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit set is 30 years as on 1 July 2010.
