Assam Public Service Commission invites application from Indian Citizens defined in Articles 5 to 9 of the Constitution of India for the under-mentioned posts under Assam Government:

  • Vety. Asstt. Surgeon/Extension Officer (Vety)-“Class-‘B’ Class-I (Junior Grade)” Under A.H.& Vety Department:
    • 43(FORTY THREE) Posts
    • Scale Of Pay:Rs.4,390/ to Rs.11,425/ PM plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.
    • Age: Minimum 21 years and maximum 38 years as on 01.01.2010. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC/ST candidates.
    • Educational Qualification: A candidate must have at least a Degree in Animal Husbandry & Vety. Science/Dairy Science from a recognized university/Institution.
  • Junior Teacher In Medical Institute, Jorhat Under Health & Family Welfare (B) Department.:
    • 13 (THIRTEEN) Posts
    • Scale Of Pay: Rs.8,000/ to Rs.13,500/ PM + 2(two) advance increments plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.
    • Age: 21 years to 38 years as on 01.01.2010. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 (five) years in case of SC/ST candidates.
    • Educational Qualification: MBBS Degree from a recognized university and registered under Assam Medical Council/Medical Council of India.

Junior Teacher, Extension Officer, Assam Public Service Commission


Profile:
Assam Public Service Commission (ASPC) was established on April 1, 1937 by the Government of IndiaThe commission was formed with the provision of theGovernment of India Act, 1935. The first chairman ofthe commission was Mr. Kames Hezelett, who was a retired ICS Officer.

Job Profile:
Only Indian Citizens can apply for the posts of Junior Teacher and Extension officer under Assam Government depending on their educational qualification.
Eligibility:
The age limit for both the posts is 21 to 38 years as on 1 January 2010.
Educational Qualification:
Degree in Animal Husbandry & Vety. Science from a recognized university or institution is required for applying for the posts of Extension Officer in Medical Institute while MBBS Degree from a recognized university is required for the posts of Junior Teacher.
No of Posts: Total 56 posts (Junior Teacher- 13, Extension Officer- 43).
Pay Scale:

Extension Officer: Rs.4390 to Rs.11425.
Junior Teacher: Rs.8000 to Rs.13500.

Selection Process:
Eligible candidates will be called for interview/written test for making the final selection for the posts.

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) was established on April 1, 1937 by the Government of India under Act, 1935. The first non official chairman of the commission was Shri Kameshwar Das.     • Educational Qualification: A candidate must have passed 3 (three) years Diploma in Civil Engineering from any Govt. institution.
  • Research Assistant Under Planning & Development Department: 06 Posts
    • Scale Of Pay:- Rs.3,760/ to Rs.9,400/ PM plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.
    • Age:-21 years to 38 years as on 01.01.2009. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 (five) years in respect of SC/ST candidates. Further, the upper age limit is relaxable by 2 (two) years in respect of candidates who have been serving in lower posts or cadres for a minimum period of 5 (five) years.
    • Educational Qualification: A candidate must be a Graduate in Arts or Science or Commerce from any Govt. recognized University with either Economics/Mathematics/Statistics/Agricultural Economics/Sociology/ Anthropology/Social Anthropology/Social Work/Business Administration/Business Management/Geography or Commerce as one of the subjects. Preference shall be given to the Major (Honours) Graduates.
