University of Lucknow was established on November 10, 1919. The idea of starting the university in Lucknow was presented by Raja Sir Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khan and Khan Bahadur who contributed an article in which they showed the urge for the foundation of a University at Lucknow. But the first step towards the establishment of the university was made by a General Committee of educationists and persons interested in universityeducation. The university of Lucknow is considered as one of the reputeduniversity of the country.

Candidates can apply for the posts of Professor, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in various subjects and disciplines in Lucknow University.
