Scientists, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board


Profile:
Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) was established on Nov 1, 1973 under the supervision of Dr. P. B. Gajendragadkar. The board is responsible for making the recruitment of Scientists and similar posts specified by the President, ICAR. The major objective of the board is to make recruitment to the posts in Agricultural Research Services of ICAR and also to advise the council on Disciplinary matters related to personal recruitment. Agricultural Scientists Recruitments Board was established as an independent recruitment agency accountable to the President of ICAR society only.
Job Profile:
Candidates can apply for the post of the Agricultural Scientist in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) depending on their qualification.
Eligibility:
Candidates must have attained atleast 21 years of age but not more than 32 years of age as on 1 August 2010.
Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree or equivalent in concerned subject is required for applying for the specified posts.
No. of posts: There are 290 posts available in the Indian Council of Agricultural for the position of Agricultural Scientists.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the salary of Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.
Selection Process:
Selection for the position of the Scientist will be made through a competitive ARS / NET Examination – 2009 that will be held on 19 September 2010.
