Bank of India was nationalised alongwith the other 13 banks in the year 1969. Intially it started off with only one office in Mumbai with around total 50 employees in it. But in the recent time, bank has made a rapid growth and managed to get itself a strong national presence. Bank of India occupies a premier position among the nationalised banks. It has around 3000 branches all over the country with 141 specilised branches. All these branches are controlled by 48 Zonal Offices.
