UPSC Application form query regarding pasting photograph

Question :

• Hi,
  Can anyone let me know if it is compulsory to paste a black & white photograph on the UPSC (CSE) application form? It is not mentioned anywhere in the notification but I read a few mails suggesting the same.
  
  
  If there is only one photograph to be attached on the form then would there be no photograph on the hall ticket?

• Coloured photograph will also do......
  Only 1 photograph is needed to be pasted on the form.........no need for any other photograph.......
