Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) was founded on October 24, 1962. This a paramilitary force of India mainly for security along the India-China border. ITBP force is considered expert in mountaineering and disaster management.

Job profile:
Medical Officer can apply for the posts of Deputy Commandant (Specialist Medical Officer) and Assistant Commandant (Medical Officer) depending on their educational qualification.
Eligibility:
Candidates applying for the posts of Deputy Commandant should not be more than 35 years of age while candidates applying for the posts of Assistant Commandant should not be more than 30 years of age.
No. of posts: 259 posts are available for the designation of Deputy Commandant and 283 posts are available for the designation of Assistant Commandant.
Pay scale:
Deputy Commandant: Rs. 15600-39100/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/-
Assistant Commandant: Rs. 15600-39100/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-
Selection process:
Candidates will have to undergo a written examination. Candidate’s performance in the examination will play a major part in the final selection for the posts.
