Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) notification of Village Administrative Officer (VAO), Advertisement Number 248. Applications are invited upto 5:45 PM on 20/08/2010 for Direct Recruitment to the post of Village Administrative Officer.
1. Village Administrative Officer - 1576 posts in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service
2. Village Administrative Officer (For SC/ST) - 1077 posts
Pay Scale : Rs.5,200 - 20,200 + Grade Pay Rs.2,000/- P.M
Age Limit : 21 to 30 years (Maximum 40 years for SC/ST/MBC/BCM and Widows)
Qualification : Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies.

How To Apply : OMR application form along with an Information Brochure containing
General Instructions for filling up the application form, Commission's, Instructions, etc. to candidates and an envelope for sending application can be obtained from any one of the HEAD POST OFFICES or Selected Sub- Post Offices in Tamil Nadu / Puducherry on payment of Rs.30/-. Candidates can also avail of the facility of applying Online on www.tnpsc.gov.in Candidates applying Online should possess and keep ready Postal receipt for Rs.105/- (Application fee Rs.30/- and Examination fee Rs.75/-) obtained from any one of the Head Post Offices / selected Sub-Post Offices.
Filled in applications must be sent to the Controller of Examinations,
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, No.1. Greams Road, Chennai-600 006 on or before 5.45 PM on 20-08-2010.
