Profile:

Assam Public Service Commission (ASPC) was established on April 1, 1937 by the Government of India. The commission was formed with the provision of theGovernment of India Act, 1935. The first chairman ofthe commission was Mr. Kames Hezelett, who was a retired ICS Officer.

Job Profile:

Only Indian Citizens can apply for the posts of Junior Teacher and Extension officer under Assam Government depending on their educational qualification.

Eligibility:

The age limit for both the posts is 21 to 38 years as on 1 January 2010.

Educational Qualification:

Degree in Animal Husbandry & Vety. Science from a recognized university or institution is required for applying for the posts of Extension Officer in Medical Institute while MBBS Degree from a recognized university is required for the posts of Junior Teacher.

No of Posts: Total 56 posts (Junior Teacher- 13, Extension Officer- 43).

Pay Scale:

Extension Officer: Rs.4390 to Rs.11425.

Junior Teacher: Rs.8000 to Rs.13500.

Selection Process:

Eligible candidates will be called for interview/written test for making the final selection for the posts.
